Fresh off the launch of the new-generation BMW 2-Series Coupe, we stumbled across a near-new M2 CS that is just begging for a new home.

The new 2-Series Coupe seems to be a more mature car than its predecessor, but while a new M2 is on the cards, it is also some time away. When it eventually arrives, it will have some big shoes to fill as the current M2 has been hailed as probably the best M car BMW makes right now – and the hardcore CS is even more driver focused than the M2 Competition.

For those interested in an M2 CS, a pristine example has popped up for sale on Bring a Trailer and only has 500 miles under its belt.

The car left the factory painted Alpine White but the owner has had an Inozetek Nardo Grey vinyl wrap applied. Making the M2 CS stand out even further is carbon fiber across the roof, front splitter, wing mirror caps, side skirt winglets, decklid spoiler, and rear diffuser. A set of Light Alloy Gold 19-inch wheels wrapped in 245/35 front and 265/35 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires further add to the car’s appeal.

A look inside reveals black leather and Alcantara adorning the seats with red contrast stitching. A host of carbon fiber accents are also found throughout and the sports car also features a leather-wrapped Alcantara M Sport steering wheel with tri-color stitching.

Powering the M2 CS is the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six as the F80-generation M3 pumping out 444 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. Drive is sent to the rear wheels courtesy of a six-speed manual transmission.

With two days left in the auction, bidding had already reached $80,000, almost as much as the car’s $84,595 MSRP.
