Donkervoort is sending out the D8 GTO with a bang with the introduction of the new Individual Series.

Like the regular Donkervoort D8 GTO, the new version features an Audi-sourced 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder that has been fettled by ABT Sportsline and pumps out 435 hp and 420 lb-ft (570 Nm) of torque from just 1,750 rpm through to the redline. Modifications made include the fitment of an upgraded intercooler, new fuel injectors, and bespoke engine tuning and mapping.

Customers can have this engine paired to either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed paddle-shift transmission that is better suited to track driving. The car can sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.6 seconds, 124 mph (200 km/h) in 7.6 seconds, and reach a 177 mph (286 km/h) top speed. It offers lateral acceleration of up to 2.05g and a maximum longitudinal acceleration of 1.02g.

Donkervoort says the upgrades made to the car allow it to lap the Spa-Francorchamps F1 circuit 1.4 seconds faster than the D8 GTO-JD70.

Key to the D8 GTO Individual Series is the scope of customization that customers are offered. For example, there are different brake options, including standard brakes and upgraded six-piston calipers at all four corners. It can also be optioned with adjustable electronic power steering. Other key options include a lightweight air conditioning system, roll cage, Bosch Race ABS system, rear-view camera, alarm, xenon lights, race seats, available four- and six-point harnesses, a limited-slip differential cooler, and a carbon fiber transmission tunnel.

Elsewhere, customers have a number of paintjobs to choose from, including colored carbon fiber. Matching luggage can also be ordered for the car.

The D8 GTO Individual Series’ base price sits at €197,109 ($232,000) including 21 per cent VAT in Europe.
