The Lancia 037-inspired Kimera EVO37 is in the middle of a European tour and was recently showcased at a special car event in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Slotted beneath the sexy bodywork of the EVO37 is a 2.1-liter four-cylinder that was redesigned under the watchful eye of Claudio Lombardi, the man responsible for building the engines of the original 037 rally cars. This four-cylinder unit has been both supercharged and turbocharged and produces more than 500 hp and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. Drive is sent through the rear wheels courtesy of a manual transmission.

Various other upgrades were made to the car. For example, it features all-new suspension components from Ohlins and has upgraded Brembo brakes. It also sits on 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels.

While the exterior design is reminiscent of the original 037, it has been thoroughly updated and is now made from carbon fiber rather than fiberglass. It also features some modern-day components, such as new headlights with LED daytime running lights. The car also features a truly massive ducktail-style rear spoiler that makes it stand out from any other performance car past or present.

Kimera Automobili will build just 37 examples of the EVO37 and says that it has also sold 20 of them. Until September 5, this silver car, as well as a red 037, will be displayed at the exclusive Salon Privé event in the UK.

Prices start at €480,000 (~$566,000) and customer deliveries will begin in the coming months.
