Maserati has introduced a new variant of the Ghibli sedan and Levante SUV dubbed the F Tributo Special Edition, which is exclusive to the U.S. and Canadian markets.

The special edition has been created to celebrate the racing history of the brand. The automaker says that the ‘F’ refers to Juan Manuel Fangio who drove the Maserati 250F when the Italian automaker made its Formula 1 debut in early 1954. Fangio would go on to claim a number of race victories with Maserati and win the 1957 Formula 1 world championship.

The Ghibli and Levante F Tributo Special Edition models are available in two exclusive colors named Rosso Tributo and Azzurro Tributo. Maserati selected red as many of its most famous race cars have competed with similar hues while the bright shade of Azzurro Tributo references the blue and yellow colors of Modena.

Maserati has also given the Ghibli and Levante yellow calipers and yellow wheel trim as a further reference to Fangio’s 250F that had a red and yellow livery. The Ghibli F Tributo Special Edition is fitted with 21-inch Titano wheels finished in gloss black while the Levante F Tributo Special Edition has 21-inch Anteo wheels also finished in gloss black. The trident badges on the rear quarter panels are also painted in the same color as the body.

The unique Fangio-inspired colors continue into the cabin of the two models where red and yellow contrast stitching complement the black Pieno Fiore leather perfectly.

Prices for the Ghibli F Tributo start at $101,390, while the Levante F Tributo is available from $106,590.
