The owner of a Ram 3500 pickup truck has taken to YouTube to share footage of a dramatic crash they were involved in earlier in the year.

The clip was filmed on April 24 while the motorist was traveling along a freeway in Los Angeles. It shows the pickup in the HOV lane driving past slow-moving traffic in the other lanes and just a couple of seconds in, a vehicle ahead of the Ram can be seen changing into the HOV lane, just ahead of the Ram driver.

This prompts the cammer to explain to his passengers that this was why he wasn’t “blazing through” traffic, knowing that there is always a risk someone from the slow-moving lane will move into the fast-moving lane. Mere moments later, a second vehicle veers into the HOV lane, this time a Ford SUV.

Bizarrely, the driver of the Ford slams on the brakes as they enter the HOV lane and the cammer ends up slamming directly into the rear of the SUV. The force of this impact immediately shatters the rear window of the Ford, sending shards of glass across the hood and windscreen of the Ram.

Obviously, the driver of the Ford is to blame for the crash but according to the cammer, they hired a lawyer and tried to claim that it was the Ram driver’s error. However, as soon as this dashcam footage was shown, the driver of the Ford admitted to being at fault.
