Kia is entering into an exciting new phase with the launch of its all-electric EV6 and plans to introduce six additional EVs by 2027. Spurred on by the South Korean automaker’s commitment to electrification, designer Serkan Budur has created his dream Kia EV that could serve as a new halo car for the brand.

Budur interned at Kia’s European design studio in 2017 and 2018 and in addition to finding the time to design the wild Bugatti La Finale Concept, also designed this sleek, electric Kia with two doors and a very futuristic design.

The sleek Kia coupe appears to be similar in size to the BMW 8-Series Coupe and doesn’t share much in common with any existing Kia models. For example, the front end is dominated by a set of thin, LED headlights that sit above large cooling ducts for the brakes and a faux front grille. The fascia is dominated by curves and flowing lines and is juxtaposed by a sharp and angular design element behind the front wheels and just in front of the doors.

When the concept is viewed from the side, it’s impossible not to notice the sleek roof and the lack of both wing mirrors and door handles. This being a design concept, Budur didn’t need to worry about such features.

The eye-catching design continues at the rear with a single, LED light bar stretching the width of the car. This light bar sets above a pair of aerodynamic fins that stretch down and around the car’s bumper, forming the basis of a diffuser.
