CES kicks off next month and it will be chock full of automotive news including the unveiling of the Chevrolet Silverado EV.

Of course, GM won’t be the only automaker in attendance and BMW will reportedly use the event to introduce the iX M60 as well as a handful of trick features.

Speaking of the latter, Roadshow quotes BMW as saying they’ll introduce a technology that allows the exterior color of a vehicle to be changed at the “touch of a button.” It remains unclear how this will work, but it’s an interesting idea as it would enable owners to switch colors on a whim.

The publication also says we can expect a “cutting-edge in-car movie theater experience.” This too is a bit mysterious, but it’s possible the automaker will turn their Curved Display into one massive movie screen. This remains to be seen, but it seems possible as the display consists of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment system.

While the tech features sound conceptual, the big news will be the introduction of the iX M60. The automaker hasn’t said much about the model, but has previously confirmed it will be the “first all-electric Sports Activity Vehicle from BMW M GmbH.”

BMW has also said the crossover will have over 600 hp (447 kW / 608 PS), which is a sizable upgrade over the 516 hp (385 kW / 702 PS) iX xDrive50. This should allow for a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of less than 4.4 seconds and we can also expect a more aggressive exterior, which could incorporate some cues from the i4 M50.
