The holiday season is upon us and to celebrate, the crew from the prestigious Girardo & Co dealership in the UK have put together a high-paced video starring Santa himself and a very special Lancia Stratos.
The clip starts off by showing a guy delivering Christmas presents with his classic Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Unfortunately, he grinds to a halt after encountering a mechanical issue with the car’s engine and promptly texts Santa, asking for some assistance to deliver the gifts.

Obviously, the Stratos isn’t quite as practical as the Mercedes and can’t store the gifts in its cabin, meaning they are strapped to the roof. Before long, Santa stamps on the throttle a little too hard and the presents fly off and are left strewn across the road. For the following couple of minutes, the driver expertly powerslides the iconic rally car along some narrow country roads, perfectly demonstrating just what the Lancia is capable of.
As the video progresses, Santa disappears into a tunnel and when he returns, the Christmas gifts have been recovered and placed on the roof once again. This time, they survive the journey to the Christmas party.
Few racing cars are more iconic than the Lancia Stratos and while we don’t have specific details about this example, we can see that it has been equipped with rally lights and is finished in a lovely shade of red with gold wheels. Powering the car is a 2.4-liter naturally-aspirated V6.
