The all-electric BMW iX is an important vehicle for the German car manufacturer and was recently put through its paces during moose and slalom tests.
The iX example tested was the xDrive40 variant and comes outfitted with Pirelli P Zero Elect tires measuring 255/50 R21 at all four corners. It isn’t a sports car but it performed quite well in the moose test.

With the SUV’s brake regeneration system in its standard mode, the iX was able to pass through the moose test at a top speed of 74 km/h (45.9 mph). Tests at 77 km/h (47.8 mph) and 80 km/h (49.7 mph) were also conducted but the BMW wasn’t able to make it through without hitting some of the cones.
A top speed of 74 km/h through the moose test is respectable and is quicker than the 67 km/h (42 mph) recorded by the same publication in the Skoda Enyaq iV and the 73 km/h (45 mph) of the VW ID.4. However, it is slower than the 80 km/h (50 mph) of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, 78 km/h (48 mph) of the Kia EV6, and 83 km/h (52 mph) of the Tesla Model Y.
Km77 has also released a separate video of the iX conducting a slalom test. For this, the iX passed in between the cones in 24.8 seconds, just a touch slower than the 24.5 seconds of the Mercedes-Benz EQS that was also recently tested. The iX was able to hit a top speed of 73 km/h (45 mph) during the course.
