The Kia Seltos has been on the market for a few years, so it comes as little surprise that spy photographers have caught a facelifted variant undergoing cold weather testing in Scandinavia.

Dressed in heavy camouflage, the crossover features a revised grille that is no longer split into two different sections. Additional details are hard to make out, but we can expect updated lighting units and a modified front bumper.

The styling changes continue out back as we can see new L-shaped taillights. Elsewhere, the reflectors have been moved to the redesigned rear bumper.

Driven: The 2021 Kia Seltos Proves Entry-Level Crossovers Don’t Have Be Full Of Compromises

Spy photographers didn’t get a good look inside, but we can see camouflage on the door panels as well as on the dashboard. This suggests there will be a handful of interior updates, but details are elusive. That being said, we wouldn’t be surprised to find a new steering wheel, updated switchgear, and possibly an upgraded infotainment system.

Engine options are expected to carryover and this means the entry-level variant could have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder developing 146 hp (109 kW / 148 PS) and 132 lb-ft (179 Nm) of torque. It could be joined by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 175 hp (131 kW / 177 PS) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque.

However, rumors have suggested the Seltos may also be offered with a new hybrid powertrain sourced from the Niro.  It features a 1.6-liter engine and an electric motor that develop a combined output of 139 hp (104 kW / 141 PS).
