Blue McLaren Speedtail Exudes Style And Speed

McLaren knows a thing or two about producing extremely expensive and extraordinarily rare cars and one of its craziest creations from recent years is the Speedtail.

Capped at just 106 units worldwide, the Speedtail is unique for a number of reasons, most notably the fact that it is a three-seater with a central driving position. Despite its rarity, a handful of examples have hit the used car market since customer deliveries began in 2020 and this particular unit, listed for sale through Miller Motorcars, is one of the sleekest we’ve come across.

Those fortunate enough to order a Speedtail from the factory were able to customize the car to their personal tastes and the owner of this example opted to have it painted in a color dubbed Burton Blue. The exterior of the car also features various carbon fiber accents, namely the front splitter, side skirts, front wheel aero covers, and the rear diffuser. Parts of the roof are also finished in gloss black.

This blue and black theme continues into the car’s interior. The driver’s seat is bathed in black leather while the two passenger seats on either side are finished in a dark shade of blue leather. This blue leather extends across the side sills, parts of the floors, steering wheel, and the dashboard. Most other interior surfaces are clad in exposed carbon fiber with a matte carbon fiber finish.

Of the 106 Speedtails that were built, this one is number 97. It has been driven just 369 miles (593 km) since leaving the factory and while no asking price has been made public, the orange Speedtail once owned by Michael Fux sold for $3.3 million at an auction back in January and this car could trade hands for a similar sum.
