If you were to simply look at the performance specs of the 2022 Audi RS3, you could be excused for thinking it’s no more impressive than the car it replaced. Dig a little deeper, however, and you will find a car that benefits from a number of important updates.

It’s impossible to talk about the new RS3 without first discussing its design. We always liked how the previous model looked and weren’t particularly confident that Audi could improve it. However, it has done just that, creating what could be the meanest-looking hot hatch on the market. With some modifications, the German hyper hatch can be made to look even more aggressive.

The RS3 featured in this clip from RoCars has been brought to life by MGP Garage and features a handful of bold upgrades that make it stand out. For example, an extension has been added to the rear spoiler and there is also a new rear bumper with a bigger diffuser. Additionally, the tuner has added a custom front splitter to the front bumper and a pair of new side skirts. All of these add-ons have been brought to life by Maxton Design.

The result is perhaps the most striking RS3 we’ve seen and the black paint makes it look especially menacing.

Powering the latest RS3 is a turbocharged 2.5-liter TFSI five-cylinder. This engine is good for 394 hp and 368 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque in European specification, but horsepower climbs slightly to 401 hp for U.S. models. Mated exclusively to the five-cylinder is a seven-speed dual-clutch S-tronic transmission sending power through all four wheels and helping the hatch hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.8 seconds and a 180 mph (290 km/h) top speed.
