A 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat can be purchased for a touch over $66,000. That’s a lot of money but it is a bargain compared to the asking price of this 2008 Challenger SRT-8 listed up for sale through eBay.

We all know that the prices of used cars have gone through the roof over the past 24 months. However, with an asking price of $59,000, this 14-year-old Challenger seems very expensive, even though it has only been driven 1,028 miles (1,654 km) since leaving the factory.

The seller on ebay notes that the car has been kept in a climate-controlled garage since new and has never seen rain. While it hasn’t been driven much, it has apparently been shown at a number of car shows over the years and does look to be in excellent condition. Adding to the car’s desirability is the fact that it is one of 6,400 First Edition models.

The exterior of the Challenger looks absolutely flawless from the pristine paint down to the carbon fiber racing stripes running along the hood. The owner has taken such good care of the car that even its underside has been polished, meaning it probably looks better now than it did when it first rolled out of the assembly line.

As a 2008 model, the car is powered by a 6.1-liter naturally aspirated V8 pumping out 425 hp. Coupled to this engine is a five-speed automatic transmission powering the rear wheels.

There’s little doubt that you’d be hard-pressed to find another 2008 Challenger SRT-8 that has been as well maintained as this one. However, with an asking price almost equal to that of a brand new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, we suspect only the most enthusiastic of Challenger collectors will be willing to spend so much.
