Irmscher is a German tuner specializing in Opel models but it seems that the company decided it was time to show some love to more Stellantis products since its latest project is based on the fully electric Fiat 500.

Abarth has yet to unveil the much anticipated and already confirmed hot hatch version of the new 500. Until then, Irmscher wanted to offer a more aggressive-looking alternative to Fiat 500 owners without altering the iconic design of the city car.

The Fiat 500 is already available with 17-inch wheels in the flagship trim called “La Prima”, but Irmscher swapped them with their own 10-spoke Turbo Star alloy wheels, which are available in black or silver finish. The new wheels are combined with a lowered suspension bringing the 500 closer to the ground.

Finally, there is a set of decals highlighting the face and the character line of the car in red/black or silver. The sticker set is featuring an “Urban by Irmscher” lettering on the profile as previewed by the official renderings depicting a 500 Cabrio in two different configurations.

Inside, modifications include the all-new leather upholstery for the seats, door cards, headliner, and steering wheel. The leather can be ordered in brown amaretto or wine red, bringing a more premium feeling to the EV’s cabin. The diamond quilting and the color combinations are reminiscent of Maserati, although not as fancy as Abarth’s own spec.

Irmscher didn’t announce any performance upgrades for the urban EV. This means you have to rely on one of the two available configurations of the stock Fiat 500. The base model comes with a 24 kWh battery and a 94 hp (70 kW / 95 PS) electric motor, while the more potent one gets the larger 42 kWh battery and the 117 hp (87 kW / 118 PS) electric motor. This one accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 9 seconds, with a top speed is limited to 150 km/h (93 mph).

The German tuner hasn’t announced pricing for this “special project” but judging from the photo showing the interior they have already started working on the first example.
