Is This The New Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Off-Roader Before We’re Supposed To See It?

It has long been known that the Huracan Sterrato concept was more than just a simple flight of fancy for Lamborghini, but a new picture snapped inside a mysterious location may show the pre-production vehicle fully uncovered.

Shared by Cochespias on Instagram, the photo shows a thoroughly reworked version of the Lamborghini Huracan featuring many off-road-ready modifications that look like they come straight from the Sterrato concept and the prototype that has previously been caught testing on public roads.

The hexagonal rally lights on the nose of the car, just above the grille, for instance, are exactly like the ones seen in digital imagery of the Huracan Sterrato shared by the Italian automaker. The side signal light on the front fender is also exactly where Lamborghini said it would be and, of course, there is the Sterrato lettering on the door.

Unlike the concept, there is no light bar on the roof, though that was missing on prototypes previously caught winter testing, too. Indeed, the thinner roof bars and the hood scoop both look quite a bit like those seen on that car.

The fitment of the lower intake and its interaction with the rear wheel well appears to be a little unpolished in this image, though. That said, it does, again, bear a resemblance to the concept car.

Much like the rest of its stablemates, the Huracan Sterrato is expected to be powered by a naturally-aspirated, 5.2-liter V10. The engine currently produces up to 631 hp (471 kW/640 PS) in the AWD Huracán Evo.

As with all pictures that crop up on the internet, it is likely wise to look at this photo with a degree of skepticism. Lamborghini is expected, though, to officially reveal the Huracan Sterrato this year.
