It’s no secret that Kevin Hart is a hardcore car guy but what many might not know is that he has a particular affinity for muscle cars. And he loves to combine that love with horror flicks. Now he’s joined with custom car builder Dave Salvaggio to create a completely bespoke 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner called Michael Meyers.

Some might remember that last year around this same time, Hart received another muscle car commission. Back then it was a 1970 Dodge Charger called the Hellraiser and it was very much a modern car in old-school clothing thanks to a Hellephant engine and an entire body made from carbon fiber.

The Roadrunner is slightly more old-school. HRE made a set of one-off wheels that look both old and new somehow. Under the hood is a 426 HEMI with a Whipple supercharger, Demon heads, and a Demon cam. Together those parts provide up to 940 hp (691 kW).

The Detroit Speed and Engineering chassis allow the car to drive much like a modern muscle car. Brembo brakes help to slow the Roadrunner down and a Detroit Speed master cylinder backs them up. This thing even has a proper three-pedal manual transmission too. The car also features carbon fiber in parts like the front and rear bumpers. In addition, the hood and the hood scoop are both made from the lightweight and strong material.

Swapping those cogs happens through the use of a gear lever that looks like an inverted knife handle, a nod to the Mike Meyers theme. That’s not where the film influence stops though. Little red paint is splattered to imitate blood on the headliner, under the hood, on the seats, and in various other spots around the interior. Oh, and an image of Mike Meyers is subtly hidden in the gauge cluster too. His name is embossed on the door plate sills too.

Hart himself seems totally blown away when he gets his chance to lay eyes on it and drive it. We can understand why. Moreover, in addition to the car itself, he got a nice little gift package including custom Nike shoes, a belt, and a wallet all with the same Mike Meyers theme.
