After years of speculation, Lotus has released their first-ever SUV and at the same time, first dedicated electric model, called the Eletre, to somewhat of a mixed reception.

Some are of the belief that Lotus should never make an SUV, let alone an electric one, while others feel that it’s a necessary evil if they want the company to stay afloat and continue producing sports cars, and some are just genuinely excited for the prospect of an SUV with Lotus pedigree that starts at 592 hp (600 PS / 441 kW) and a sub-3-second 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time. Regardless of your opinion on the vehicle, Lotus has now released the configurator for it, allowing you to customize it to your heart’s content.

The configurator offers plenty of customization options to play around with. The process starts with the exterior, where you’re given the choice of six different colors. Of course, the car is offered in various shades of white, black, and grey, but there are also some more lively options in the form of green, yellow, and red. From there, buyers can choose between yellow, black, grey, red, or green brake calipers, as well as light or dark wheels (both the same style) with a choice of either yellow or black center caps.

The final (and probably the wildest) configuration step is the interior style. Lotus offers four interior styles for the Eletre, and really only one could be considered “boring”, namely the all-black upholstery. But for those who prefer a bit more spice, there’s also tan and black, white and black with yellow stripes, and probably the craziest of all: green and black with yellow stripes.

We’ve done ours up in a classic green over tan with silver wheels, but how would you configure your Eletre? Show us in yours the comments below.
