The Dodge Durango has a new outfit for summer as the company has announced the crossover will be offered with a Hemi Orange appearance package.

Originally introduced last year on the Charger and Challenger, the Hemi Orange package will be available on the 2022 Durango R/T for $1,995.

In exchange for that relatively modest sum, buyers will find a Destroyer Grey, Diamond Black, Octane Red or White Knuckle exterior with contrasting Orange and Gunmetal hood stripes. They’re joined by Satin Black taillamps, Midnight Grey and Orange exterior badging, and 20-inch wheels with a Black Noise finish.

Interior changes are limited, but buyers will find orange contrast stitching and a monochromatic Dodge Rhombi logo on the seatbacks. Customers looking for more equipment can opt for the $4,500 Hemi Orange Plus Package, which adds a power sunroof, “advanced safety features,” and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system.

Buyers looking for more meaningful upgrades can get the Hemi Orange Tow N Go Package for $5,095. Available exclusively with all-wheel drive, the package adds orange Brembo brake calipers, a high-performance suspension, and 20-inch Lights Out wheels. The package also includes “advanced towing features” and additional equipment.

More details will be released this summer, but it’s worth noting the Durango R/T features a 5.7-liter V8 engine developing 360 hp (268 kW / 365 PS) and 390 lb-ft (528 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission that enables the model to return 14 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined.
