We have seen some weird incidents involving high-powered sports cars and supercars over the years but this case involving a Porsche 911 GT2 RS is a little stranger than most.

This particular video was recently filmed in Mexico and shows a white 911 GT2 RS stuck in a bunker of a golf course. Yes, a bunker in what looks to be a very nice golf course.

It appears as though the 911’s owner was attending a car event at the golf course when they veered off the fairway and somehow ended up in a bunker. We have no idea how this could have happened but it seems apparent the driver didn’t know the bunker was there until the front half of the GT2 RS was beached on the sand.

Fortunately, the car probably hasn’t suffered any damage. For the sake of the golfers that actually play at this course, we hope the Porsche driver did a good job of raking the bunker after this massive fail.

This is far from the only incident involving a 991-generation 911 GT2 RS that we’re aware of. In April 2018, a bright green example was heavily damaged after crashing on the Nurburgring just three days after the owner picked up the keys to it. In December 2019, a red 911 GT2 RS was crashed in the UK just minutes after being driven off the showroom floor.
