Maserati Brings Grecale Trofeo, MC20 Cielo, And David Beckham To Goodwood

The brand-new Maserati MC20 Cielo made its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, participating in the hill climb alongside the MC20 coupe and the Grecale Trofeo.

The MC20 Cielo is the spyder version of the MC20 Coupe, coming with a retractable glass roof. The models are sharing the same twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine with 621 hp (463 kW / 630 PS) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. The Coupe accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.9 seconds while the slightly heavier Cielo needs 3.0 seconds due to the roof mechanism that adds an extra 65 kg (143 lbs) of weight.

As for the Grecale Trofeo, the most powerful version of the SUV is fitted with a development of the “Nettuno” twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 of the MC20 producing 523 hp (390 kW / 530 PS) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque. The bulkier model needs 3.8 seconds for the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint.

Besides its three latest production models, Maserati also brought David Beckham, it’s Global Brand Ambassador, as a special guest in Goodwood. The English former footballer and current businessman arrived in a Grecale Trofeo and he was also photographed behind the wheel of the MC20 Cielo spyder.

Following their hill climb runs on the 1.16-mile course, the mid-engined supercars and the performance-focused SUV will be on display at Goodwood. This year’s festival takes place from June 23 to June 26 in the usual place in West Sussex.
