This 1971 Chevrolet Camaro doesn’t just have the ingredients to leave even the most potent of modern Camaros in its wake but it also exudes a sense of style that no new model could ever match.

Obviously, this is no ordinary Camaro. It has been comprehensively upgraded by RestoMod Store in Independence, Missouri, and has received so many modifications that it now shares very little in common with its former self. The car was for auction through Bring a Trailer where it sold for $140,000.

Adorning the exterior of the Chevy is a shade of metallic blue that is contrasted with matte silver across the rocker panels, front splitter, and rear diffuser. It sits on staggered Boze Forged Clutch wheels with a dark gray finish, wrapped in 273/35ZR18 tires up front and 345/30ZR19 tires at the rear. In overhauling the car’s design, RestoMod Store also fitted a new grille, recessed split bumperettes, removed the door handles, fitted billet taillights, KaTur Angel Eyes headlights, and new quad exhausts.

Found beneath the skin is a Detroit Speed subframe, tubular control arms, new subframe connectors, and power-assisted rack and pinion steering. Adjustable JRI aluminum coilovers have also been fitted at all four corners while braking is provided by Wilwood six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers sitting over drilled and slotted rotors.

The engine is also something special. It is a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 but has been upgraded with a pair of 62 mm Precision turbochargers, a new intake manifold, Comp Cams camshaft, air-to-air intercooler, a Concept One serpentine drive system, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The listing doesn’t note how much power the car has, but it is coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission and a nine-inch rear axle.

A number of upgrades has also been made to the Camaro’s interior. These include a Vintage Air climate control system, power windows, a Pioneer infotainment system, Hertz speakers, and all-new black leather upholstery, as well as a set of ProCar bucket seats.
