The world might be going electric, but the age of the dinosaurs is upon us as the highly-anticipated 2023 F-150 Raptor R will debut on July 18th.

While the automaker is keeping details under wraps, Ford North America Product Communications Director Mike Levine released a movie theater-style teaser on Twitter. Besides confirming the date, it suggests deserts will burn as the Raptor R promises to be “Beyond Fast. Scary Fast.”

Despite staying tight-lipped, Ford released a revealing teaser video last month. It showed the truck will follow in the footsteps of the standard Raptor, but it’s expected to be equipped with unique 17-inch wheels that are wrapped in 37-inch all-terrain tires. We can also expect 4.10 gearing, skid plates, and an electronic locking rear differential. They should be joined by an off-road focused suspension with Fox shocks as well as Trail Control and Terrain Management systems.

A purported window sticker also suggested the truck will come equipped with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather Recaro front seats. Other highlights could include power adjustable pedals, a dual-zone climate control system, and a 12-inch SYNC 4 infotainment system.

Of course, that’s burying the lede as the truck will be most notable for featuring a supercharged 5.2-liter Predator V8 engine. It produces 760 hp (567 kW / 771 PS) and 625 lb-ft (846 Nm) of torque in the Mustang Shelby GT500, although it might be retuned for truck use. Regardless of the final numbers, there’s little doubt the 702 hp (523 kW / 712 PS) Ram 1500 TRX has plenty to worry about.
