This is an independent design study by Victor Rodriguez Gomez that is neither related to nor endorsed by Tesla.

Very few concepts have split opinion among the public like the Tesla Cybertruck. It’s daring, it’s uncaring about conventional design cues, and it’s proven to be inspiring. One design professional, Victor Rodriguez Gomez, created something he calls the Model M, a Cybertruck-themed motorcycle for the future.

Rodriguez’s brief on the project is simple and straightforward. He says that “In the near future, the exponential increase in population together with a culture of massive consumption will mean the requirement of multifunctional, efficient, and eco-friendly means of individual transport.”

The “Tesla Model M” could certainly serve that purpose if it ever were to be produced. Design sketches indicate that the electric motor would sit super-low in the chassis with the battery pack just above it. Hubless wheels make it very clear that you’re not looking at a run-of-the-mill bike.

Flip-out handles leave the bike looking super slick and nod to the stow-away handles found on every single Tesla in the current lineup. The rear tail light also serves as a clear indication of the bike’s name as it forms a bright red M.

Rodriguez also has a clever way to make the Model M far more than just a daily means of conveyance. A large part of the bike is built to be removable storage that doubles as a backpack. It also houses the start/stop button so it serves as a theft deterrent device when removed.

While a project as brash and bold as Project M might end up being nothing more than a fanciful design exercise, it’s important to note that it could end up being more. While we have yet to see anything public come out of it, Tesla itself trademarked the term Cyberpack. That’s notable because another Tesla fan had already created a backpack that mimics some of the Cybertruck styling cues.

Even if this bike never makes it to production, it’s a great indication of just how influential the Cybertruck and Tesla as a whole really is. No matter how you might personally view the company, it’s clear that it’s making an impact on lots of people.
