The Polestar 1 is one of the more intriguing performance cars released in recent years and while it didn’t revolutionize the industry, it did prove that the Swedish automaker should be taken seriously. Now, one particularly eye-catching example has hit the used car market.

This particular Polestar 1 is the Special Edition variant, limited to just 25 examples worldwide and introduced to commemorate the end of the hybrid’s production run. It is distinguished from the standard model with a special Gold Matte paint finish and also comes complete with a handful of carbon fiber accessories, black 21-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and 275/30 front and 295/30 rear Pirelli P Zero tires.

The powertrain of the Polestar 1 consists of a 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder engine that drives the front wheels. Additional grunt is provided by a pair of electric motors at the rear axle and a 34 kWh battery pack, resulting in a combined 619 hp and 738 lb-ft (1000 Nm) of torque. This powertrain also features an eight-speed automatic transmission and the car can travel up to 52 miles (83 km) on electricity alone.

Found in the cabin of the Polestar 1 Special Edition is gray Nappa leather upholstery across the seats, door panels, dashboard, and center console. It is also equipped with heated front seats complete with contrasting yellow stitching and includes dual-zone climate control, a head-up display, 9-inch information system, and a powerful Bowers & Wilkins audio system. Some carbon fiber trim is also found within, as are yellow seat belts.

This Polestar 1 was delivered new to Polestar Short Hills in New Jersey and acquired by the selling dealer in May 2022. It is being sold with just 124 miles (200 km) on the clock through Bring a Trailer and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title.
