Maserati has been hard at work on the new GranTurismo sports coupe, and ahead of its official debut, the company has released yet another set of teasers previewing its design.
In the case of these latest images, which were shared on Instagram both by the company themselves and one of the exterior designers, they feature the all-electric Folgore version of the car, and for the first time it can be seen wearing no camouflage.

There’s not much to work with, but what we can tell is that the car will have vertical headlights similar to the ones on the MC20 supercar. Between those headlights are a set of air channels in the hood, which are both a stylistic choice as well as a practical one to improve aerodynamic efficiency.
There will also be a new, rounder grille, which features a single unbroken crease underneath spanning the width of the bumper. That crease leads to two intakes, which are now smaller, but they can afford to be since this is an EV and requires less cooling than a traditional ICE vehicle. With that in mind, though, we wonder what, if anything, will change for the ICE variant of this car.
Based on all the spy shots, as well as official photos of the camouflaged car, we can expect the rest of the design for both the EV and the ICE car to be evolutionary rather than revolutionary.

Powering the GranTurismo Folgore is reported to be a trio of electric motors making over 1,184 hp (1,200 PS / 883 kW), which would afford the car with 0-62 mph time (0-100 km/h) of less than three seconds on its way to a top speed north of 186 mph (300 km/h). And seeing as Maserati falls under the Stellantis group’s umbrella, it makes us wonder if Dodge, another member of the automotive conglomerate, will be using this powertrain (or a version of it) in their new electric Charger Daytona SRT. Should that be the case, it would certainly validate their claim that the car will be more powerful than the Hellcat.
As mentioned before, there will also be a gas-powered variant of the new GranTurismo, which will likely feature a version of the MC20’s Nettuno 3.0L twin-turbo V6 making somewhere in the realm of 621 hp (630 PS / 463 kW) and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque.
