Dodge is resurrecting the Swinger moniker for a pair of Charger and Challenger special editions.

The latest in a long line of Last Call models, the vehicles pay tribute to the original Dart Swinger which packed “formidable horsepower into a compact package” as well as offered “groovy options” such as a green-on-green color combination with gold accents and wood interior trim.

In the case of the 2023 Challenger R/T Scat Pack Swinger, the model features Gold School accents on the grille, badges, and Shaker intake. They’re joined by retro “Swinger” graphics and 20-inch Gold School wheels that are backed up by six-piston Brembo brakes with black calipers.

Moving into the cabin, buyers will find Nappa leather and Alcantara seats with green stitching and a green Dodge Rhombi logo. Designers also installed faux wood trim, green contrast stitching, and a Swinger badge on the dash.

The Charger R/T Scat Pack Swinger is largely identical, but it eschews the Shaker intake. It’s also worth noting that both models come equipped with Plus Group content.

Power is provided by a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine that develops 485 hp (362 kW / 492 PS) and 475 lb-ft (643 Nm) of torque. It’s paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission in the Charger, but the Challenger will presumably be offered with a six-speed manual as well.

Production will be limited to 1,000 units each and both special editions are Widebody variants. Dodge also noted the models will be available in F8 Green and Sublime Green as well as White Knuckle.

Pricing and dealership allocations will be shared on DodgeGarage.com when orders open later this fall.
