Fiat announced a simplified structure for its entire model range, with a single trim and a three-step configuration process making it easier for prospective customers to spec their car. The process can be completed online or in dealerships and includes the selection of Model, Color, and Packs, something that applies to both the Fiat and the Fiat Professional range.

The customer starts by selecting the model (New 500, Panda, 500, 500X, and Tipo) and the color. Then, there are three options for the optional packs (Style, Tech, Comfort) which have the same monthly cost and can be combined with each other. Finally, for those who want it all, Fiat is offering a flagship trim for all models which includes all three packs plus more features. For example, the Fiat New 500 “La Prima by Bocelli” special edition serves as the flagship of the EV’s range.

As for Fiat Professional, all of its offerings (Panda Van, Fiorino, Doblo, Scudo, and Ducato) are also available in a single trim level although in their case there are more options in terms of bodystyles and specific packages. In this way, the LCVs can be customized to better suit the needs of professionals. Among the categories of the available packs, we find “Capabilities and Conversion”, “Comfort and Functionalities”, “Safety and Driving Support”, plus “Style”.

The new structure is already online on Fiat’s Italian website and we expect it to gradually roll out to other markets. Fiat is not the only automaker that simplified its lineup, since the ongoing challenges in the automotive industry have forced many companies to do the same.
