The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 from the 1970’s is a performance icon as it was the most powerful version of the first-generation 911 and equipped with a ducktail spoiler, which would become an icon in its own right.

Porsche is now paying tribute to the model with an all-new package for the 911 GT3 RS. Available exclusively in the United States, the Tribute to Carrera RS Package was previewed by a thinly-veiled concept this summer, and features unique styling details inside and out.

Starting with the exterior, eyes will immediately be drawn to the Python Green accents that contrast with the white paint job and draw inspiration from the Viper Green flourishes that were available on the original model. There’s an assortment of green components from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur including mirror caps and magnesium wheels. They’re joined by matching side graphics, wing details, and GT3 RS badging on the rear bumper.

Besides hulking out, the model has been equipped with High Gloss Black brake calipers and the Weissach Package, which adds an assortment of carbon fiber components.

The green theme continues in the cabin as customers will find contrast stitching on the seats, dashboard, steering wheel, and door panels. Green contrast stitching can also be found on the center console lid, where it’s joined by an embossed ‟RS” logo. Rounding out the highlights are white-painted keys and illuminated door sill plates with a ‟Tribute to Carrera RS” script.

While most packages are focused exclusively on the car, Porsche has gone the extra mile and included an assortment of other goodies. Key among them is a Porsche Design watch with a “winding rotor in Python Green designed to look like the magnesium wheel of the car, and a strap with matching stitching as well as a white bezel.”

Buyers will also receive a custom car cover, custom license plate frames, key caps in Python Green, and valve stem caps with an RS script in Python Green. Another cool bonus is a pair of 1:43 scale models including the new GT3 RS as well as the classic 1973 Carrera RS.

Porsche didn’t stop there as buyers will be enrolled in an NFT program that rewards them with “digital badges signifying their attendance at key racetracks and Porsche events.” They’ll also receive physical vehicle graphics, so their achievements are visible in both the real and virtual world.

The Tribute to Carrera RS Package will be available for customers with an existing 911 GT3 RS allocation and it will raise the price of the model to $312,550 before factoring in the $1,450 delivery fee. That’s pretty steep, but the standard 911 GT3 RS with the Weissach Package will set you back $262,050 by itself.
