It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that Nissan absolutely nailed the design of the new Z, creating a coupe that both looks modern while also beautifully taking design inspiration from classic models like the 240Z, 260Z, and 280Z.

With more and more examples of the 2023 Z reaching the hands of customers, we’ve started to see a growing number of aftermarket specialists doing their bit to make their cars stand out. A Japanese company by the name of Racing Service Watanabe is the latest to do just that, installing a set of eye-catching wheels on the sports car.

Watanabe sells a plethora of different wheels with different designs and the ones fitted to this Z are among its most popular. They resemble some of the wheels available on Japanese sports cars from the 1960s and 1970s, including the third-generation Nissan Skyline, and suit the retro design of the Z absolutely perfectly.

The company sells these wheels with a number of different finishes. In this case, they have a matte grey finish that complements the grey paint of the car nicely. If we were being picky, we’d also like to see the suspension of this Nissan lowered slightly so the new wheels and tires fit more neatly into the arches.

For Z owners who would rather not order parts from the aftermarket, Nismo launched a host of tuning upgrades for the car at SEMA. These include an available big brake kit, 19-inch LM-RS1 wheels, a cold air intake, a twin-disc clutch, a 2.25-inch exhaust, a new intercooler, and loads of carbon fiber accessories.
