Cadillac has been making big strides as the Celestiq and Lyriq are a new take on American luxury.  While three new electric vehicles will be introduced later this year, the company hasn’t forgotten about its ICE-powered lineup as they’ve unveiled the facelifted XT4.

Set to arrive this summer, the 2024 XT4 features an all-new front fascia with a modernized grille and updated lighting units.  The latter immediately standout as the headlights are now located beneath slender LED turn signals, which are flanked by vertical daytime running lights.

The changes continue further back as the crossover has been equipped with new 18- and 20-inch wheels.  Buyers will also find a revamped color palette as well as a lightly revised rear end with new reflectors and an updated exhaust.  There are also subtle differences between the various trims and the Sport variant is notable for having an aggressive fascia, unique wheels, and dark accents.

While the exterior updates are welcome, some of the biggest changes occur in the cabin and usher the XT4 into the 2020’s.  The outgoing model’s analog gauges and 8-inch display have been replaced by a Lyriq-inspired cabin that features a 33-inch curved display with a 9K resolution.

The display is customizable and features Google integration, which provides easy access to Google Maps, Google Assistant, and apps from Google Play.  Buyers will also find a new 5G Wi-Fi hotspot as well as wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay.

Besides the tech features, the crossover has been equipped with a new dashboard that sports slender air vents as well as brushed aluminum accents.  Other highlights include “contemporary embroidery patterns on the seats” and a newly available 13-speaker AKG Studio audio system.

Customers will also find new color and trim combinations.  Luxury models have piano black trim with laser etching, while Premium Luxury variants boast genuine wood or aluminum trim.  Likewise, Sport models amp things up with carbon fiber or wood trim.

The Cadillac Smart System comes standard and includes front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, rear cross traffic braking, and blind zone steering assist.  They’re joined by lane keep assist with lane departure warning, a rear seat reminder, and IntelliBeam automatic high beam headlights.

Premium Luxury and Sport trims can be equipped with an Active Safety Package that adds adaptive cruise control, reverse automatic braking, and an automatic emergency braking system with a new intersection function.  The package also includes new features such as traffic sign recognition and speed limit assist.

Super Cruise is notably absent, but Cadillac officials confirmed it will be added to the XT4 in the future.  Unfortunately, there’s no word on timing at this point.

Power is provided by a familiar turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 235 hp (175 kW / 238 PS) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque.  It’s connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission, which can be backed up by an optional all-wheel drive system.

Pricing will be announced closer to launch, but the current model starts at $36,295 before a $1,195 destination charge.
