It’s been 60 long years since Bruce McLaren founded his namesake company and to celebrate this anniversary, travel and lifestyle brand TUMI has launched a new limited-edition collection with the British automaker.

The collection of luggage consists of the Torque Sling, Velocity Backpack, and Aero International Expandable 4 Wheeled Carry-On. All of the travel pieces are finished in McLaren’s signature Papaya colorway. The 60th Anniversary Collection also includes packing cases and portfolios and can be purchased through TUMI stores and on the company’s website.

The exclusive pieces of luggage don’t come cheap. In fact, the Velocity Backpack costs an eye-watering $1,095, the Torque Sling will set you back $595, and the Aero International Expandable 4 Wheeled Carry-On is a cool $1,795. The collection also includes the Fuel Small Crossbody ($275) to hold your phone and other small items, as well as the Remex Accessory Kit for $325.

TUMI And McLaren Collaborate On Papaya Orange Luggage

For those that aren’t a fan of the Papaya finish, Tumi offers all of the same pieces with black and carbon fiber finishes. McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris is being used to help market the collection.

“Together with TUMI, we wanted to build on the success of our core and carbon fibre collections with a bespoke capsule edit to celebrate sixty years of McLaren,” McLaren Automotive chief designer Goran Ozbolt said. “This edition of luxury travel pieces also celebrates our founder Bruce McLaren’s passion for looking to the future, pushing the boundaries, and matching effortless functionality with a modern design language that reflects the ethos of both companies.”

TUMI’s collaboration with McLaren will extend beyond the 60th Anniversary Collection this year as it will also be present at multiple F1 races throughout the year, run giveaways, and draw on influencers to help market its products.
