The 2024 Dacia Duster is preparing to go au naturel and the striptease is already underway. That’s clear from the latest spy photos, which give us our best look at the model to date.

As you can see, the redesigned Duster follows in the footsteps of the Bigster concept and has a more expressive front fascia. The latter features rectangular headlights and a slimmer grille with an integrated LED light bar.

Further below, there’s an evolutionary front bumper that now houses vertical air curtains. They’re joined by a pronounced central intake and what appears to be a faux skid plate.

The edgier design continues further back as we can see angular wheel arches and muscular rear haunches that echo those found on the Bigster concept. Those aren’t the only changes as the Duster sports streamlined bodywork, a modern greenhouse, and new door handles that don’t look like they were sourced from 1988. We can also see roof rails and eye-catching bronze mirror caps.

Out back, there’s an angular rear window and a larger rear spoiler. The crossover also features a puzzle piece-like liftgate, which ‘fits’ into distinctively styled taillights.

Dacia hasn’t said much about the Duster but, back in March, the automaker confirmed the redesigned model would go into production next year at the Mioveni plant in Romania. The company also confirmed the crossover would ride on the CMF-B platform, which can be “kitted out with combustion, alternative and hybrid engines, guaranteeing compliance with changing regulations.”

Speaking of powertrain options, choices might be shared with other models that ride on the CMF-B platform. There have also been rumors about a possible plug-in hybrid variant, while whispers have suggested diesel engines may be dropped.
