• The tuner has fitted a new supercharger, upgraded the throttle body, and made various other changes.
  • Hennessey also offers the Escalade-V with a 1,005 hp package.
  • A modified Escalade-V can outsprint a Ram 1500 TRX with ease.

The Cadillac Escalade-V is an absolute beast. It is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 churning out 682 hp and 653 lb-ft (885 Nm), figures once reserved for market-leading supercars. Hennessey Performance has now made it even quicker with its H850 package.

To boost the SUV’s performance, the Texas tuner has installed a new air induction system, an upgraded supercharger, high-flow cylinder heads, a custom camshaft, an upgraded throttle body, and fitted both a new intake and exhaust valves. It has then tuned the Escalade-V’s ECU, allowing it to now churn out 850 hp at 6,200 rpm and 855 lb-ft (1,159 Nm) of torque at 4,600 rpm.

Those figures aren’t quite as extreme as those offered up by Hennessey’s flagship upgrade package for the Escalade-V but it’ll be more than enough to scare even the most speed-hungry owners.

Hennessey hasn’t published acceleration and top speed figures for the Escalade-V with its H850 package. What it has done is show it racing a bog-standard Ram 1500 TRX and thanks to its additional grunt, it easily pulls on the almighty pickup truck. That’s impressive considering the TRX can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and run down the quarter mile in just 12.3 seconds.

Like all of the tuner’s upgrades, its H850 package comes with a 3-year / 36,000-mile limited warranty.

“Extreme-performance SUVs are one of my favorite types of vehicle to drive – their sleeper status is such a great contrast to their supercar-like performance,” John Hennessey said. “Our 850-horsepower version of the Escalade-V brings heaps of performance to this luxury full-size SUV, doing the GM supercharged V8 engine justice. We’re only making 100 of these H850 models, so they’re sure to be exclusive.”

Each H850 from Hennessey will come with a serial-numbered engine plaque and special badging. It can also be optioned with 22-inch gloss black or polished silver wheels. Pricing for the kit hasn’t been disclosed.
