- Ram has announced a series of updates to the 1500 pickup for 2027.
- There are new colors, additional equipment, and expanded options.

Ram has been making waves recently and the results speak for themselves as the Hemi V8 and TRX have returned. On top of that, the brand has embraced muscle trucks with the Rumble Bee family.
While the TRX and Rumble Bee are the headliners for 2027, they’re not the only new developments. The company has now detailed additional changes and there are some interesting additions.

The 1500 RHO sees a handful of minor tweaks including a new tailgate badge with a “rhino head motif.” Customers will also find a new Popular Equipment Group, which costs $2,995 and includes a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system as well as a 14.5-inch Uconnect infotainment system.
Furthermore, the RHO – as well as the Limited and Limited Longhorn – now come standard with a 360-degree camera system. It can also be had on the Laramie and Rebel in the Level 1 Equipment Groups for the first time.
On the topic of the Limited and Limited Longhorn, the trucks now offer a RamBox delete option. It’s aimed to appease customers that “require maximum bed width.”
Other highlights include a new Satin Black Symbol of Protest badge on the Tradesman, Black Express, Warlock and Rebel. Furthermore, the Big Horn Crew Cab Level 2 Equipment Group adds a passive entry system, while the Laramie gains standard rain-sensing wipers.
Rounding third base is a newly available 2 kW onboard power system on models equipped with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. It transforms the truck into a mobile generator thanks to two 120V outlets in the bed.
Buyers will also find a couple of new colors including Goldilocks Pearl-Coat and the return of Flame Red Clear-Coat. Availability of Tank Clear-Coat has also increased across the lineup.
The 2027 Ram 1500 offers seven different powertrains ranging from the 305 hp (227 kW / 309 PS) Pentastar V6 to the 777 hp (579 kW / 788 PS) supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8. The trucks are currently arriving at dealerships now.
