• Ram has opened the order books for the 2027 1500 TRX SRT.
  • Starts at $99,995 and features a supercharged V8 with 777 hp.
  • Model sports 35-inch tires and a surprisingly luxurious interior.

It’s a bad day for Ford as the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT has officially gone up for order. The model will arrive at dealerships this summer and cost $99,995 before a $2,795 destination fee.

That’s a lot of money, but it undercuts the $110,930 F-150 Raptor R by $10,935 and beats it on paper too. Where the Raptor R makes 720 hp at 6,650 rpm and 640 lb-ft at 4,250 rpm from its supercharged 5.2-liter V8, the TRX answers with a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 good for 777 hp (579 kW / 788 PS) and 680 lb-ft (921 Nm). It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system.

This setup enables the Ram truck to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds. That’s faster than a Mustang Dark Horse and the truck will eventually hit a best-in-class top speed of 118 mph (190 km/h).

While the truck is undeniably quick in a straight line, it’s not limited to the street. Quite the opposite as the TRX has an off-road focused suspension with forged aluminum control arms, special spring rates, and Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shocks. They’re joined by electronic locking differentials and 18-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch tires.

The Crew Cab pickup wears a composite widebody kit, a sport performance hood, and a 5’ 7” box. Customers will also find powder-coated bumpers and five-inch dual exhaust tips that tell you this truck means business.

While the exterior is bold and brash, the cabin is surprisingly luxurious. Drivers are greeted by black Natura Plus leather seats that feature perforated suede inserts as well as heating, ventilation and massage. They’re joined by a suede headliner, carbon fiber trim, and a dual pane power sunroof. Other highlights include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch infotainment system, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, and dual wireless smartphone chargers.

Sticking with equipment, the truck comes standard with adaptive cruise control and Hands-Free Active Driving Assist. Other niceties include a head-up display, Active Lane Management, Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Cross Path Detection, and a Blind-Spot Monitoring system with trailer coverage.

If the standard model isn’t special enough, Ram offers a Bloodshot Night Edition package for $9,995. It adds a two-tone exterior with an upper body in Diamond Black Crystal Pearl Coat. Buyers will also find a Flame Red hood stripe, unique graphics, and beadlock-capable wheels with Satin Titanium rings.

The upgrades extend to the cabin, which is adorned with carbon fiber featuring red anodized threads. Designers also gave the truck a glass-encased center console badge as well as TRX badging with a red outline.

An assortment of other options are also available including Bed Utility, Trailer-Tow, and Trailer Technology packages. They add a deployable bed step, an exterior power outlet, and an integrated trailer brake controller – among other things.
