• The special-edition version of the IM L6 features blue accents inside and out.
  • Jimmy Choo has also crafted crystal badges for the IM L6 and blue leather.
  • IM Motors will initially limit production of the special L6 to just 1,000 examples.

Jimmy Choo is one of the most recognizable names in fashion, and now he’s brought his exceptional eye for detail to the automotive industry by creating a special version of the electric L6 sedan from the Chinese brand IM Motors.

Two variants of the limited-run edition from Jimmy Choo will be available, priced at 234,900 yuan ($34,900) and 249,900 yuan ($37,200), respectively. Although the models don’t benefit from any hardware or software changes over the standard model, we have little doubt they’ll appeal to fashion-conscious buyers who want to make a statement. An initial batch of 1,000 examples has been confirmed for production, though more may be possible.

Key changes made to the exterior include special blue brake calipers, a custom badge at the rear, crystal-look camera covers, and a crystal IM badge on the hood. More significant changes have been made to the cabin, where the Jimmy Choo edition rocks a two-tone blue-and-white finish.

A Fashion-Forward Interior

The top half of the dashboard is trimmed in plush blue leather with stitching that reads “Prof. Jimmy Choo”. Blue leather continues onto the steering wheel, door panels and wireless smartphone charging pads, while the rest of the cabin is trimmed in white leather, including the seats with custom embroidery on the headrests.

The latest IM L6, also badged as the IM5 in other markets including Australia, uses an 800-volt architecture that supports DC charging speeds of up to 396 kW. Two rear-wheel-drive models are available, rated at 315 hp (245 kW) and 402 hp (300 kW), and offered with either 76 kWh or 93 kWh battery packs, giving the sleek electric sedan a driving range of 450 miles (725 km) to 528 miles (850 km).

IM’s flagship all-wheel-drive Ultra model rocks a 103 kWh battery and a pair of electric motors delivering 670 hp (500 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque, allowing the sedan to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.7 seconds.
