This is the Jeep Wrangler Switchback, the final special-edition Wrangler from Jeep's Twelve 4 Twelve launch program. Like the others, including the recent Wrangler Smoky Mountain, Laredo, and JL-2A models, the Switchback will be sold as a package rather than as a standalone model. It looks suspiciously like the new Ford Bronco RTR, but is much more expensive.

The Switchback is available exclusively for the two- and four-door Rubicon X models, priced at $66,695 and $69,996 (including a $1,995 destination charge), with the package itself costing $2,870. Like a Bronco RTR, it stands out with lime-green Gecko accents across the exterior. These include the front grille surround, beadlock wheel rings, swing-gate decal, and the special hood graphic. It's a bold look, yet somehow works well on the Wrangler.

The special touches don't stop there. All Switchback models include mismatched Black and Sting-Gray parts, including the hood, fenders, and doors. The package also adds '41' decals on the doors and comes standard with a three-piece hardtop, available in either Gloss Black or Sting-Gray. The exterior tweaks are completed with black tow hooks and black badges.

The cabin matches the black and gray exterior

Like the outside, the inside continues the two-tone theme with Global Black and Seat Salt Nappa leather, which is a simple shade of light gray. It is found on the instrument panel surround, the center-console lid, and the armrests. The leather seats are trimmed in black, and Pearl and Lime contrast stitching adds some color to the cabin. Personally, we would have liked to see some more pops of green throughout, but the stitching does a solid job of matching the exterior accents. Rounding out the unique touches include a satin chrome shifter medallion, special graphics on the air vents, a cupholder plaque, and a bespoke graphic on the swing-gate plaque.

Like any regular Wrangler Rubicon X model, the Switchback package includes the off-roader's familiar naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 engine with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Among the key off-road-focused parts are a factory lift kit, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and heavy-duty steel bumpers. Orders for the 2027 Jeep Wrangler Switchback open in November. As impressive as it seems to be, it makes the Bronco RTR with its off-road features seem like a bit of a bargain, starting at just $52,785.
