Saab was born from jets but this new 9-3 TTA racecar was born from the love and the passion that the people behind Flash Engineering and Team Tidö feel for the bankrupt Swedish brand.

The first of four racing examples of the Saab 9-3 sedan that will participate at the 2012 TTA Racing Elite League in Sweden completed its first shakedown tests at the Alés track in France.

“This Saab is the first complete TTA car with the final technical specification and carbon fibre body and it feels great to see it on track,” commented Greger Landén, Technical Director of TTA. “We’ve had a successful and thorough test day in France, something soon to be changed to the final tests in Sweden ahead of the premiere,” he added.

The first tests runs in Sweden will take place at Karlskoga and Anderstorp in the beginning of May.

“We are preparing ahead of delivery for three more cars and body parts for the chassis that we already have here in Karlstad,” said Johan Kvick, Team Manager of Flash Engineering.

“You can tell that the season is getting closer and it is going to be great fun to get going with the pre-season testing,” he added.
