So you expect a game that has been in development for many years, under the watchful eyes of hugely-experienced developer Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two Interactive to be very good right out of the box.

However, it seems that the developer may have spent a bit too much time making the characters overly-violent and misogynistic, and forgot to fix some severe code bugs before releasing the title…

Having worked in the gaming industry for a while, I know that some bugs that are reported just before the game enters its final phase but are not major are overlooked and added to a to-do list for a future patch or updated. It seems, though, that in the case of Grand Theft Auto 5, they either didn’t see one issue in particular, or just couldn’t fix it in time for the release date, and decided to ship as is and let the end users be beta testers…

It apparently affects cars that the player has stored in one of the characters’ personal garages. It’s fine if the characters drive their own stored cars, but if you decide to have one drive another’s car, there’s a good chance that the vehicle may just disappear into thin air. This is by no means intended behavior meant to show the player what having their car jacked feels like, and it’s one humongous bug.

Things get so ridiculous, in fact, that Rockstar are now asking players to not drive these cars in this way, to avoid the issue, as they work on a solution. Well I`m sorry, but you’d think they would be able to fix a simple code glitch after having made such a massive game and more than a billion dollars in a matter of days…

Until a fix is provided, I’ve taken the liberty of searching for a few videos detailing how to work around the problem, and posted them below.
