Whenever a new sports car maker pops up, we’re always interested and intrigued, especially if their products are of the kind one can realistically think about buying in this lifetime, without resorting to petty crimes

At least that’s what we hope will be the case with the new Zenos E10 sports car, a vehicle which in principle sounds very appealing, promising ultra-lightweight construction, typically nimble handling and over 300 horsepower per ton.

Now, we’re starting to get an idea as to how ex-Caterham boss Ansar Ali and his team are going to achieve that power to weight ratio using only a 197 hp two-liter Ford-sourced engine – the secret, as always, is very low weight.

The plan is to not make it any heavier than 650 kg (1,433 lbs), by using an extruded aluminum backbone chassis, a composite tub, and a separate but lightweight rear sub-frame that just bolts on. We can even show you what that looks like, courtesy of a few photos posted on Zenos’ official Facebook page – they are located in the gallery below.

No new details were added, though, and we’ve still to see anything more than sketches and teasers. An estimated official launch date was not revealed, and neither has any pricing information – not even a hint.
