Hyundai has focued on performance at the 2014 SEMA Show, with all four concept vehicles featuring power upgrades and more aggressive looks.

Besides the 550hp ARK Performance AR550 Genesis Sedan which we’ve already covered, Hyundai’s SEMA Show lineup also includes the 708hp Bisimoto Engineering Sonata, 1,000hp Blood Type Racing Genesis Coupe, JP Edition Sonata and 600hp Toca Signature Edition Genesis Sedan.

Bisimoto Engineering Sonata

Hyundai teamed up with Bisimoto Engineering for the third year in a row to create the most-powerful FWD Sonata in history. Hyundai’s 2.4-liter “Theta-II” four cylinder engine has been rebuilt by the tuning company from the ground up, resulting in a peak output of 708 horsepower. To complement the extensive upgrade under the hood, Bisimoto wrapped its 2015 Sonata in custom laminated body wrap and graphics.

Blood Type Racing Genesis Coupe

A similar approach was used by Blood Type Racing for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, with the Chicago-based tuner creating the most-powerful 2.0-liter Genesis Coupe ever built. Using a high-boost Precision Turbo turbocharger, strengthened and fully balanced internal components, a custom intake, intercooler, full exhaust kit and nitrous injection, BTR extracted almost 1,000-crank horsepower from the engine. Mechanical changes are accompanied by a widebody kit from Japanese designer Kei Miura featuring 40mm-wider front and 60mm-wider rear fenders, front bumper lip spoiler, rear diffuser and a GT wing.

JP Edition Sonata

The JP Edition Sonata focuses more on looks rather than performance, connecting Los Angeles street art culture with automotive enthusiasts. The collective work of John Pangilinan, renowned street artist Mr. 44 and Flexfit | BSCMP, the JP Edition Sonata combines clean styling with a range of performance products and in-car entertainment. Performance parts include an AEM cold air intake, MagnaFlow exhaust kit and a hot charge pipe from Bisimoto engineering.

Toca Signature Edition Genesis

Finally, Chicago-based builder Toca Marketing Group created the performance-focused Toca Signature Edition Genesis. The standard “Tau” 5.0-liter V8 engine has been upgraded to 600 using a one-off Garrett twin turbo setup and a full ARK Performance catback exhaust system. The interior features custom black leather seats with contrasting white stitching, carbon-fiber trim panels and a Rockford Fosgate sound system.
