Skoda Trying To Stay ‘Simply Clever’ This Winter

After recently announcing their Winter Health Checks for the UK, Skoda is coming out in favor of fighting off snow and ice no matter where you are in the world.

Owners of certain Skoda models such as the Fabia, Fabia Combi, Rapid, Rapid Spaceback, Octavia, Octavia Combi, Superb and Superb Combi, no longer need to remember where they left their ice scraper whenever they find their car frozen because of sub-zero temperatures, as these models now come with an ice scraper located in the fuel tank flap as standard.

Aside from that, Skoda is also promoting their highly practical foldable snow shovel, which is made of aluminum and can be disassembled into three separate parts so that it won’t take up too much space in the boot.

Making life easier for motorists during winter months is a pretty good initiative for the Czech manufacturer and lucky for both fans and customers alike, but the surprises don’t stop here.

Another clever little option you get is the practical ski sack, which together with the Superb’s load-through function makes for one very good idea for those who like to go skiing.

Naturally, if you don’t want your skis inside the car, you can always use the lockable ski and snowboard rack mounted on the roof, which has a capacity of 380 liters and can accommodate up to five pairs of skis or four snowboards.

If you look at the image gallery, you’ll notice a pair snow boots: they’re sitting on a tailor-made, easy to clean rubber boot mat which doesn’t even need to be fastened in any way.

However, if we’re going by level of importance, it’s the winter tires we need to concern ourselves with the most. Luckily, Skoda is offering sets of attractive winter wheels with premium winter tires for all of their models. You can even use an optional cover for the set, resulting in the clean storage of wheels and tires.

Last, but certainly not least, Skoda is also suppling snow chains that can be attached manually and that can actually make a huge difference on roads where you’d struggle, no matter how good your winter tires were.
