Buick has scored another award for the Avista Concept: The Detroit News' Reader's Choice for "Best Future Concept".
The award was handed over to Bryan Nesbitt, executive director of global design, Elizabeth Wetzel, director of interior design and Holt Ware, director of exterior design, by Nolan Finley, the paper's editorial page editor.
"This award is special because this is the Motor City and it was decided by people who reside here – alongside many of the men and women who poured their hearts and souls into this concept", said Nesbitt.
The panel consisted of around 100 readers who attended the automotive event, and the ceremony was held at the Detroit Athletic Club, part of the annual meeting of the Big Four, with heads of Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties and the mayor of Detroit.
"Best Future Concept" is not Avista's first award, as the concept managed to snatch the EyesOn Design Award for Design Excellence last week.
