The Ferrari FXX not only helped launch the company’s ultra-exclusive XX programme but, to this day, remains one of the fastest, most expensive, powerful and best-sounding track-only cars ever offered to non-racers.

A mere 30 units were produced, all with a screaming naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V12 engine producing a concerto rivaled only by the very best Formula 1 cars.

Power for the FXX sat at 789 hp at 8500 rpm and 506 lb-ft at 5750 rpm, but in Evoluzione guise those figures rose to 850 hp at a barely-believable 9500 rpm, resulting in a 2.5 second sprint to 100 km/h.

It isn’t known how many FXX models were installed with the $1.5 million Evoluzione package, it sure is though among the rarest cars Maranello has ever produced.

Well, in Connecticut recently, a pearl white FXX Evoluzione was seen not on a racetrack but on the road, as it made the journey from the local Ferrari dealership to a nearby event.

Saying that this is a rare sighting must be the understatement of the month.
