Famed rally driver and YouTube sensation Ken Block has confirmed that he will compete in the entire 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship.

Block has previously competed at a number of global RX events around the world, including taking a podium place at Norway in 2014, but as of yet, has not completed an entire season. That will change this year as he intends on hitting the track for all 12 rounds, starting in Portugal on 16-17 April.

For the seventh year, Block will be racing with the Ford team although at this stage, no details about his 2016 Global Rallycross car have been released. With that being said, it’s tipped to be a modified variant of his Ford Fiesta ST rally car, not his crazy widebody Escort.

Discussing his involvement with the championship, Block said:

“I’m stoked to be able to compete for an FIA World Rallycross title! I’ve really enjoyed my past six years racing with Ford and to renew my relationship with them moving forward, as well as receiving an increased level of involvement from Ford Performance, to compete for a World Rallycross Championship, well, I couldn’t be happier!”
