Back in November, when Lamborghini pulled the wraps off the Huracan LP 580-2, it won the hearts of many.

Now, almost two months later, the Italian supercar is back and it proves that a mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout is the best recipe for a driving enthusiast.

With Lambo boss Stephan Winkelmann giving a short brief, the 580 PS (572hp) V10 was put to the test on the track.

The fact that it has 30PS (30hp) less than the all-wheel drive edition is not important at all; what is truly essential is that Lamborghini managed to create a true successor of the Gallardo LP 550-2 in a decade dominated by turbocharging in the supercar segment.
