The latest Audi TT RS could be unveiled as soon as April and have 395 hp on tap, if reports from the Motor-Talk forums are accurate.

One user on the forum claims to have heard from a dealer representative who attended a quattro GmbH meeting that the new TT RS will easily be the most powerful to date and revealed in just a few months.

Power from the range-topping variant will be the same 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine as the latest RS3 Sportback. While the RS3 has 362 hp, Audi’s high-performance division is said to have extracted 395 hp from the powertrain for use in the TT RS.

No peak torque figure has been mentioned but it is claimed that the car will only be offered with a dual-clutch automatic transmission and of course, all-wheel drive. As no final weight figure for the car is known, it’s difficult to estimate just how quick it could be. Nevertheless, claims state it may run to 100 km/h from a standstill in four seconds flat and then onto a limited 250 km/h top speed.

For those enthusiasts looking for even more performance, the previous-generation TT RS Plus is expected to be replaced with the TT RS Performance with 415 hp.
