The new Opel/Vauxhall Zafira Tourer MPV is getting ready for its first facelift, with the update to bring it in line with the new corporal identity and add more safety features.

Cosmetically, the Zafira Tourer will be updated with the styling features of the latest Astra, which means that the boomerang headlights will be replaced by a more conventional setup that should offer the same, fancy LED matrix technology we saw in the Astra.

Other changes will include a new front grille, front and rear bumpers and possibly a new lighting signature for the rear lights.

The cabin is expected to feature the latest gizmos in connectivity like the OnStar service. New safety features are also going to be added, such as Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning along with Following Distance Indication and the Forward Collision Alert with Collision Imminent Braking that debuted in the Astra.

Engine-wise, the new Zafira Tourer is expected to gain the latest 145PS turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine, with the rest of the range possibly getting small updates for cleaner emissions and better fuel efficiency.
