Renault sales have reached a four-year high of 75,618 vehicles in 2015, up by 14% compared to the previous year, while the market grew by 6,3% according to official figures.

The Clio hatchback, Captur crossover and all-electric ZOE continue to lead from behind in one of the fastest growing B-segment ranges in the market. Their combined sales were up 5.8% in 2015, good for 53,410 vehicles. 2015 also saw 2,053 ZOE models sold, out of 2,266 total Z.E sales.

Renault has also seen some movement from their new family-sized crossover the Kadjar, which was launched in the UK in the final quarter of 2015, and is now expected to have a very good 2016 in terms of sales.

“This extraordinary growth has been fueled by customer demand for our stunning new models, supported by our dealer network’s commitment to customer satisfaction. The addition of Kadjar in the final quarter of 2015 has boosted the range even further and we look ahead to its first full year of sales in 2016, as well as the exciting launches of All-New Mégane in the summer and All-New Scénic later in the year, completing the renewal of our family car range,” argued Renault UK exec Ken Ramirez. “This 2015 performance reflects Renault’s ongoing appeal in the UK market and its continued growth trajectory, delivering on our GO5+ mid-term plan objectives.”

With models such as the Kadjar, the all-new Megane and of course the Talisman midsize saloon, Renault has gone on the offensive in multiple segments, which we all knew was just a matter of time.

The Megane however has always had strong sales figures, even towards the end of its cycle, which is why we’re anticipating the new model to be part of the driving force behind Renault’s surging sales numbers in 2016 as well. Though the Clio will probably continue to be their best selling car.
