The new Top Gear host who will get to enjoy some of the fastest and rarest cars on the planet in the revamped show, along with Chris Evans, is Matt LeBlanc.

The famous American actor, comedian and producer best known for his role in NBC’s sitcom Friends, where he played Joey Tribbiani, has joined forces with BBC to take on the mantle from the Jezza and Co. crew that used to run TG until now.

As a car nut and massive fan of Top Gear, I’m honored and excited to be a part of this iconic show’s new chapter. What a thrill!“, the 48-year old actor said.

Chris Evans commented: “Matt’s a lifelong fellow petrolhead and I’m thrilled he’s joining Top Gear. Acting out our craziest car notions on screen is a dream job and I know we’ll both be debating some epic road trip ideas. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to on screen later this year.”

In the past, Joey LeBlanc was TG’s “Star in a Reasonably Priced Car” guest in Series 18, Episode 2, when he managed to set an unbeaten lap of 1:42.1 behind the wheel of a Kia Cee’d.

He then appeared in the following series to test the Korean compact car against its predecessor, he drove The Stig in a McLaren MP4-12C and he recently presented “Top Gear: The Races”.

Looks like an interesting addition, that one. Now, can we have Chandler too, please? Or at least THE duck?
